A wonderful opportunity for children to experience the outdoors and learn about agriculture is through the Junior's Farmers Camp. Rockland Farm Alliance runs the Junior Farmers Camp at Cropsey Community Farm. Children ages 6-12 or entering 1-7 grade can attend. Camp starts in late June and ends mid-August. Learn more on the https://www.rocklandfarm.org/junior-farmers-program website.
Youth and Local Farming
Kids are full of curiosity and at the Cropsey Community Farm there is a Children's Garden where they can explore nature. In this garden children are able to plant and pick various plants such as: beans, strawberries, squash, pumpkins, tomatoes, thyme, mountain mint, sage, cucumbers, and many more. Moreover, they will get to learn more about farming and gardening.
